Greenhouse Worker

As a Greenhouse Worker in Dinteloord, you will work in a high-tech greenhouse with tomato plants. This job offers a stable income between € 15,68 and € 20,10 per hour, depending on experience. Housing and transport can be arranged by us.

What will you do?

As a Greenhouse Worker, you help maintain optimal growing conditions in a clean and modern environment. You monitor plants, manage data and handle technical systems. 
The job is ideal for people with experience in horticulture or greenhouse work. You will work 40 hours per week, from 07:00 to 16:00. If you are scheduled to work on a weekend day, some flexibility is expected. In return, you may leave earlier on another day or take a free afternoon during the week. Your tasks are:

• Check and maintain greenhouse water systems;
• Take care of technical equipment such as measuring boxes, sulfur evaporators and CO2 wells;
• Place bumblebee hives in the greenhouse;
• Measure EC/pH levels in water and plants and report the results;
• Collect samples for analysis (leaf, tomato and water);
• With experience: assess plant development and support the Cultivation Specialist with advice.

What we offer

• Salary between € 15,68 and € 20,10 per hour;
• € 15,68 excl. ADV and € 16,45 incl. ADV (based on starter salary);
• 8,33% holiday allowance and 25 paid vacation days;
• Extra pay for irregular hours and overtime: 30% bonus after 38 hours per week,  50% extra pay for work on public holidays and irregular hours, 100% extra pay for work on Sundays (some exceptions apply);
• Housing and transport available if needed;
• Free Dutch language courses to help you integrate;
• Pension plan.

What we ask

• Experience in the horticulture or greenhouse sector;
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel);
• Willing to work 25 half days on weekends per year;
• Speak English (Dutch is a plus);
• Driver’s license is a plus, not required.
